Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) When rubbing an object surface like wood or paper with stylus, we can feel tactile sensation such as rough feeling through a stylus. For presenting the sensation, pen tablet interface using surface acoustic wave tactile display has been proposed. The display has difficulty in expanding the presentation area since a single crystal of lithium niobate is used as the display and the manufacture of large one is difficult. In this research, pen tablet type tactile display using a stylus with built-in ultrasonic transducer which is based on the same principle is prototyped.
