Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Types of memory retrieval process can be broadly discriminated into verbal and non-verbal memory retrieval process. In this study, we propose a discrimination system which could discriminate subjects' type of memory retrieval process into verbal and non-verbal memory retrieval process by Support Vector Machine based on blood volume measured by NIRS at the prefrontal lobe. We also carried out validity experiments for our system. As the results, we confirm it is possible to discriminate types of memory retrieval process with high accuracy.
