Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we analyze the traffic flow of Tokyo-Nagoya Expressway using five-year detailed sensing data provided by Central Nippon Expressway Company. We visualized the sensing data and detected unusual cases in the traffic flow by statistical analysis. For instance, by detecting maximum flow of commercial trucks at each sensing point, we succeeded in visualizing how they move to Tokyo in the morning. In addition, we analyzed how the change from a normal state to congestion state or vise versa occurs between Tomei-Kawasaki and Tokyo Interchanges in for morning.
