Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Neural mass model is constructed under the assumption of firing-rate models. The case that behavior of the mean potential in the neural mass model is not fit to that of a population of neuron models, was reported. Translation to a mass is improved in the present paper. Discrete transition of membrane potentials by spike is involved; and moreover, firing rates are linearly approximated with not only the mean potential but also its time derivative. Numerical simulation in the noisy integrate and fire network with fully homogenous synaptic connection confirms the consistency between microscopic and macroscopic models.
