Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In order to investigate the influence of the pause length during the conversation, three pause length stimuli were prepared. The standard stimulus S has the original natural raw pause length, and the deviant stimulus L has the artificial slightly long (500ms) pause before utterance. The other deviant stimulus E has the eliminated slightly short (500ms) pause before utterance. While the edited rakugo which includes three types of stimuli was presented to the subject, MEG was recorded. Signals from 148ch sensors that placed around the head were recorded, and each evoked response data were averaged by types of stimulus. RMSs of averaging evoked response indicate different neural activity. For example, many subjects' RMS of the L stimuli shows bigger neural activity than other two stimuli, at around 250ms after an utterance start. This experiment shows the pause length, one of the paralanguage information, gives a not small influence to the subject when listening to a speech.
