Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) P300 speller is one of the BCI (Brain Computer Interface) applications. It utilizes P300 which is an event-related potential as the target feature for classification and allows users to select letters just by thoughts. There are various types of P300 speller interfaces, and we focus on the letter matrix interface, in which letters are allocated on a matrix. The matrix interface has some parameters: matrix size, inter stimulus interval, character size, interval of row or column and so on. This paper examined the amplitude and latency of P300 which were affected by matrix size and showed the results of the comparison among four interfaces. This paper also examined whether the differences of matrix size affected the performance of inputting characters by P300 speller.
