A Study on Proof-writing Forms in a System that Supports Students' Proof of Two-triangle Congruence and Similarity

Abstract(in English) In previous research, we have developed a self-learning system that supports junior-high school students for solving two-triangle congruence proving problems. In addition, we have conducted an evaluation experiment to measure the effectiveness of the system and concluded that the system has positive effectiveness. However, to check the students' inputs automatically, proof-writing forms and patterns were restricted in the system. There was a possibility that these forms and/or patterns became hints for solving the problems. Such forms are not available in most actual examinations. Therefore, we considered that more flexible proof-writing forms are needed in a future system. In this research, we discuss and propose free-description-like proof-writing forms for solving two-triangle congruence or similarity proof problems.
