Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have analyzed the beam-wave propagation in random media, and applied it to the transillumination imaging using practically useful light-beam illumination. However, the capability of the technique was not sufficient with respect to the scattering suppression and the background homogenization. We have developed a new technique to improve the scattering effect and background uniformity simultaneously. With an optical model-phantom, the characteristic of the technique was evaluated quantitatively, and its effectiveness was confirmed. The usefulness of the proposed technique was verified in the optical transillumination imaging of a human adult forearm.
