Development of a Three-Band Multi-Polarization Antenna : Improvement of Circular Polarization

Abstract(in English) We are developing the antenna which can simultaneously radiate circular polarization as well as linear polarization at two different frequencies. In this technical report, the way to enhance the circular polarization characteristics of the three-band cross spiral antenna (CSA), invented by the first author, is discussed based on the principle that the three-band CSA radiates circular polarization. As a result of this study, the axial ratios, radiation gains and radiation efficiencies of the three-band CSA have been improved than those of the conventional CSA.
