An electromagnetic wave shield based on a diode grid

Abstract(in English) An electromagnetic wave shield based on a diode grid is investigated in this study. The diode grid operates without a bias network. The shielding properties are investigated by a commercial full wave transient field simulator. The transmission and reflection properties of the diode grid are also studied through microwave network analysis. It is shown that the diode shield is transparent to a weak electromagnetic wave, but prevents a strong incident wave from transmitting. The experimental results studied with the Microwave Energy Transmission Laboratory in Kyoto University are also given.
