Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) At room temperature, the iPCM shows high conductivity RESET phase and does not show any magneto-optical Polar Kerr signal, because it is made by non-magnetic materials. However, when the temperature is over 420K which corresponding to low conductivity SET phase, it shows very large Kerr rotation angle of 0.3 degree which is almost same value of TbFeCo MO standard recording layer. Moreover, surprisingly, the Kerr hysteresis loop shows mirror symmetry. This is the first discovery in MO effect.
