Implementation and Evaluation of a Facial Image Retrieval System for Privacy Protection

Abstract(in English) In our previous research, we have proposed the method that generates the cryptographic key from facial feature in order to realize privacy protection on facial image retrieval system. Although we have shown the theoretical possibility of the method, we have not evaluated the important issues for application, that are computing performance on the real computer and the relation between retrieval performance and human's decision or accepentance for retrieval failure. To clear the issues, we implement the system of the proposed method, then evaluate computing performance by measuring computing time and have a questionnaire about relation between retrieval performance and human's decision or accepentance for retrieval failure and show its analysis.
