Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, many researchers have proposed various watermarking methods which can detect image tampering and restore tampered regions. However, these methods would cause serious degradation to the watermarked image because they need to embed enormous information. In our study, we propose a tamper detection and image restoration method using the similar region information. In the proposed method, the less embedding information is required for detection and restoration of the tampered region. Simulation results show that the quality of the watermarked image is superior to the conventional method and the restored image of the proposed method is satisfactory.
