Abstract(in English) Video surveillance has been applied to many field. Specifically in the detection of suspicious activity in public-places such as shopping malls and building societies. As the use of video surveillance camera increase, so does the threat to individual privacy. Therefore, video surveillance technologies that protect individual privacy must be implemented. In this study, we implement a proposed scheme in an MPEG2 video encoding environment that successfully employs mosaicking, encryption and restoring of faces captured in videos.
