Near Lossless Data Hining Using Sparsity of Image Histogram

Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a near-lossless data hiding scheme for images. The proposed method first quantizes an image in accordance with a user-specified maximum allowed error. This method hides data to the quantized image based on histogram shifting. The hidden data and the quantized image are recovered from the image conveying data. By utilizing the sparsity of the image histogram, the proposed method can control the hidden data size and the image quality of the image conveying data and can improve the compression efficiency.
