Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Bitcoin is a decentralized virtual currency based on P2P technology, which enables the unique distribution of electronic value from one person to person without the centralized issuer. Virtual currency circulates the open looped system as if it were real money, whereas the existing electronic money circulates the closed looped system. Decentralized issue of virtual currency raises a question at the Seigniorage profit, which ought to be under a state monopoly. This analyzes the public policy problems caused by the virtual currency. We have recently conducted a conjoint analysis to see the risk perception of virtual currency. As a solution, this discusses the concept of colored coin which makes the decentralized currency manageable.
