Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | This report investigates communication patterns between courseware objects in Extensible Learning Environment with Courseware Object Architecture (ELECOA). ELECOA features a flexibility to provide learning environment that ensures both function extensibility and content reusability. To achieve this feature, ELECOA allows incremental function extension by adding program module called "courseware object". To allow any combinations of courseware objects, it is necessary to define communication patterns between courseware objects in advance, then new courseware objects should be designed in a compliant way with the predefined communication patterns. This report describes the investigation of such communication patterns in the ELECOA-based group learning environment for question-generation learning. The investigation result indicates that the original four communication patterns implemented in ELECOA-based self-learning environment can be applied to the group learning environment requiring inter-learners synchronization. It is not necessary to modify the original four communication patterns meaning existing self-learning materials can be reused without modification in the group learning environment. |
