Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) VANET (Vehicular Ad-hoc Network) is a wireless ad hoc network which interconnects many moving vehicles along roads. These years VANETs have attracted much attention as a method to solve such problems as traffic congestion and accidents. In VANET, security is of critical importance and this paper proposes an approach to form vehicular groups and to authenticate the moving directions of the vehicles using sophisticated hash chains. In addition, each vehicle of a group shares partial knowledge of the positional relationship among the vehicles of the group. In this paper, furthermore, we discuss the application of our approach to the leader election problem.
