Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Image processing methods for color vision defectives have been proposed. These methods modify images so that color vision defectives can recognize color difference which is originally indistinguishable for them. One strategy used in such methods is actually to change their indistinguishable colors to distinguishable ones. However, there exist situations where color change is not preferable. The other strategy is to change image textures instead of color itself. The proposed method is categorized in the later category. We use hatching for image texture. However, problems remain in what kind of hatching is used for what area in the image. Our method checks area and color of each image area, and decides what part should be hatched. Color difference is represented as the hatching direction.
