Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Teaching support system which displays synchronized explaining texts near teacher's hands in practical skill class for hearing impaired students was developed and we validated its effect by adapting the system to a lecture. The ideal way to support these students is to give both of the demonstration and its explaining information simultaneously. However, using conventional information support methods like sign language or subtitle translation, students have to watch the demonstration and subtitles or sign language one after another. The distance between the real demonstration and the translation signs/texts and the latency between the real speech and the translation leads misunderstandings. To remove these distance and latency, the system projects prepared explaining texts directly onto near the teacher's hands without any latency. The effect of the proposed system was shown in practical lesson of Manga drawing for hearing impaired students.
