Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper presents an intraoperative registration method using vessel and organ information for laparoscopic surgery navigation. The registration process is to align coordinate systems between CT images and a positional tracker. Registration errors occur using the registration based on anatomical landmarks on the skin surface, because positions of the landmarks change between the CT scan time and operating time. Therefore the proposed method performs the registration using positional information of both vessels and organ surface. We evaluated the proposed method using the positional information acquired during laparoscopic gastrectomy. The experimental results showed that the proposed method reduced the registration error.
