Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Morphology filter bank which a method for extracting nodular patterns and line patterns of various sizes in images have been proposed by authors. However, thickness shapes of structuring elements for this filter bank was not examined in past studies. In this paper, we investigated and compared the extracting performances of structuring elements in various shapes. As a result, thin-shape structuring elements showed better extracting performances than other shapes in synthesized image and medical image analysis.
