Abstract(in English) Acoustic noise problems are becoming increasingly serious in the process of industrialization. In particular, an effective approach to reduce unwanted noise is necessary in factory where manufacturing equipment generates noise levels over 90 dB. Therefore, we have studied a multi-channel active noise control (ANC) system using parametric array loudspeaker (PAL) to solve the noise problem in a factory. There are two advantages when PALs are used as the secondary sources in a multi-channel ANC system. First, noise levels can be reduced at the targeted locations, while the sound pressure levels at the other locations are not affected due to the super-directivity feature of PAL. Second, the cross-talk secondary path models can be removed, because the sound field reproduced by one PAL has negligible interference with the other PALs. By this mean, the computational complexity of a multi-channel ANC system is reduced. In this paper, based on a real-time implementation in a digital signal processor (DSP), the performance and effectiveness of the proposed Case(2,2,2) ANC syetem are demonstrated through some experiments and simulations.
