decoding error probability for q-ary linear block code with soft dicision demodulation

Abstract(in English) Computing the error probability of soft decision decoding for linear code are discussed and proposed. The method is extension of the error probability of hard decision decoding, and for q-input r-output discrete channel (r > q). The soft decision decoding of this study is not any previously known soft decision decoding algorithm having good performance. To compare with the terror correcting hard decision bounded distance decoding for liner code whose minimum distance is d_ (t ≦ 0, 1, …, ⌊(d_-1)/2⌋), the algorithm provide various intermediate performance of error correcting capability (error correcting probability, decoding error probability and error detection probability) with chosen decoding region for soft decision receive word. This is practical approach, and the algorithm can be implemented with soft decision channel output, hard decision decoder and small additional soft decision circuit.
