Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Chaotic resonance (CR) in which the system responds to a weak signal by the effect of chaotic activities is known as one of the functionality of chaos in neural systems. While, it has been found that several routes to chaos exist in the neural systems and these characteristics are very different each other. However, there have been few studies that compare the efficiencies of signal response in CR among the chaotic states arising from different routes to chaos. Thus, in this paper, we focus on Izhikevich neuron model which has been investigated recently regarding its chaotic characteristic and bifurcation and evaluate CR in the route to chaos through period doubling bifurcation and the route to chaos through tangent bifurcation by using Izhikevich neuron model.
