Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) While Power Gating technology enables us to reduce leakage current, it causes a serious problem of occurring Ground Bounce noise. Although Ground Bounce noise was suppressed by distributing the moments when Power Switches turn on in conventional method and previous work, it is not clarified that how controlling Power Switch Rise Time influences the Ground Bounce. In this research, we propose the method to control Power Switch Rise Time that the previous work of Unbalanced Power Switch Driver (UPSD) improves. Results have demonstrated the Ground Bounce is reduced by 53.1% in ALU and by 29.2% in Multiplier in our proposal compared to UPSD.
