Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The spectrum sharing schemes to use the same frequency spectrum by multiple radio communication systems are currently being studied to improve spectral efficiency. The key technology to co-exist an additional system (generally, secondary system) and an existing communication system (primary system) in the same frequency spectrum is to mitigate the harmful interference to the primary system. Especially for the existing primary system, the very weak interference is still harmful and the secondary system is required to mitigate even if its power is less than noise signal. To avoid such harmful interference, the signal detection techniques such as the future detection, which shows high detection probability, are being discussed. Moreover, the cooperative sensing has been studied in order to improve signal detection performance. One of the typical methods is the cooperative sensing scheme based on the OR rule, in which the secondary system assumes that the target system is using the spectrum if one of the some detectors detects the target system signal. The OR ruled method improves the detection probability. On the other hand, it degrades false alarm probability. In this paper, we propose the cooperative sensing scheme weighted by estimated detection probability to avoid the degradation of false alarm probability. In our proposed scheme, detection probability in each signal detector is estimated and then weights for each signal detector output are generated base on the estimation result. We will show the detection performance of the proposed method by computer simulations.
