Abstract(in English) | After 2011, Openflow which is a major implement of SDN (Software Defined Networking) and Open Stack which is also a major implement of IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) management technologies did start up approximately at the same time. IaaS is a kind of cloud service and provides customers the fundamental hardware platform which includes the compute resource and the network components. Originally SDN was aimed for the network which could come out in programmable by centralized controller and the APIs liberation to shorten the lead time for construction rather than a technique for network virtualization. However, a network virtualization technology to realize the connection between the virtual servers which extended over the physical servers inside and outside and data centers was essential to the realization of the IaaS service not to mention a server virtualization technology. Real time characteristic of SDN matched the needs of server virtualization service and the SDN as the technique to realize a virtual network has penetrated dramatically in these past several years. At first in this talk, I comment on the basic concepts of the network virtualization technology and the server virtualization technology which include SDN, Openflow, Hypervisor, Open Stack and etc. And, then from the viewpoint of IaaS service, I will really talk the application domain of the virtual network technology in an operating commercial system. Furthermore, I will mention the future service vision to realize by orchestrator and unified APIs which organized element services that are constructed by network virtualization technology and a server virtualization technology. |
