Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The vivid colors are perceived as brighter than dull colors which have same lightness. This phenomenon is known as the Helmholtz-Kohlrausch (H-K) effect. Hence, in the case where the chroma is changed before and after the image processing, the perceptual lightness is also changed even if the physical lightness is preserved before and after the image processing. In this report, a new color transfer method considering H-K effect is proposed. In the usual color transfer, the input image is colored by using the color of the reference image, and the lightness of the input image may be changed. In the proposed method, by considering H-K effect, the color transfer which preserves perceptual lightness before and after processing is realized. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by some experiments.
