Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Elastic Optical Network (EON) and Space Division Multiplexing (SDM) are intensively studied in order to expand a transmission capacity of optical backbone networks. Power consumption becomes an important issue for the traditional optical switching node architecture in EONs with enlarging scale of optical nodes. In this paper, we propose new optical switching node archictecture reducing its power consumption. The proposed node architecture is based on Architecture on Demand (AoD) nodes and includes consideration about the number of input/output ports of signal processing modules. We also propose the on-demand spectrum and core allocation method which can effectively utilize the proposed node architecture. The proposed node architecture and allocation method are evaluated through computer simulations.
