Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In cloud networks, users require a cloud services provided at a low cost and high reliability. A conventional scheme adopts only a cloud provider with the acceptable reliability. However, highly reliable cloud provider provides a high-cost service. This paper proposes a virtual machine selection scheme, which adopts cloud providers to use their virtual machines, considering reliability for cloud services. The proposed scheme is allowed to adopt multiple cloud providers with low reliability but low cost, and is satisfied with the required reliability. We formulate an optimization problem minimizing the cloud service usage cost as a linear programming problem. We observe via performance evaluation that the proposed scheme is able to reduce cost approximately 34% compared with the conventional scheme.
