Abstract(in English) Although Network-boot is a useful solution that centrally manages the PC terminal, depending on the network environment problems such as time-consuming to start has been pointed out. This paper, that is to improve performance by using a local disk as a cache at Kyoto University educational terminal system which is aimed, in terms of network traffic, its utility discussed. Traffic analysis of, in addition to the effectiveness of the cache is shown and process not related to Network-boot in that takes time, it was possible to obtain information about the start and the traffic of the terminal.
