Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Hiroshima City University started a new campus network system from Oct. 2014. The functions in a network layer (L3) and all functions of all servers in this system have been migrated to a cloud environment. The coverage of this system construction is wide and includes network infrastructure, network services, terminal rooms, a system on academic affairs, a library system and an e-learning system. All servers and network equipment of L3 and upper layers work at a data center. Some functions such as mail security and mail delivery work in a public cloud. This paper describes the design of the educational system constructed by the virtual desktop infrastructure of 550 virtual desktops including 50 virtual desktops on which CG software runs for art classes and the other systems. Also, the current status after migration is mentioned.
