Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The interconnection between IMS networks defined in the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) is assumed to be launched under the circumstances where the interconection between IMS network and Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) is remaining. In a SIP routing procedure defined in 3GPP technical specifications, an originating IMS home network uses a URI obtained from a database (e.g., ENUM) for routing of SIP requests when the different home IMS networks are interconnected. However, the 3GPP specifications do not specify any explicit SIP routing procedure when both the IP-based Point of Interface (POI) and ISUP-based POI exist. This paper reports a study on the procedure to route SIP requests to the destination POI at the originating home IMS network for the above scenario.
