Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Many researchers try to attack the controller area network (CAN) by sending faked packets. Since many countermeasures, e.x., secure algorithms, devices, and chips, are proposed, it is confused that which countermeasures can be applied. This paper overviews both standardizations and researches for CAN security, and pickups a robust technique that adds a media authentication code (MAC) to the CAN packet and exchanges the MAC keys securely. Then, security technologies are discussed with considering robustness, functions, and cost axis. Also, secure implementation techniques are shown.
