Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper describes a new algorithm for estimating the position of the user in GPS denied environment based on wires LAN fingerprints which are measured for 8 different directions in order to improve the accuracy and the robustness of the position estimation. The estimation algorithm is based on Bayes algorithm adapted to be to deal with the database which is composed of fingerprints acquired for 8 different directions. The effectiveness of the algorithm is evaluated by the actual experiment in a hallway in the building of Tottori University.
