Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) When plastic product is confounded with glass fiber using injection molding, under the influence of resin flow, an orientation state of the fiber becomes irregular. As a result, a defective article such as a warp and the torsion occurs in the formed plastic parts. In order to predict such a molding failure in advance, we use a three-dimensional image of the plastic molded article (taken by an industrial X-ray CT apparatus) and analyze the orientation of the fibers. In this research, it is possible to perform the extraction process for each one of the glass fibers and subject them to detailed analysis of the number and distribution of the fibers.
