Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A four-channel FDM system using Mach-Zehnder filters was equalized to reduce the interference by connecting the FIR filters. A band-limiting scheme for the total system was assumed to be cosine roll-off characteristics. The channel compensation was split equally between the transmitter and receiver filters. The tap coefficients were determined in order that the transfer function of the FIR filter satisfied the design objective transfer function originated from both of Mach-Zehnder filter and cosine roll-off characteristics. As a result, the eye was fully open even when the neighboring channel spacing became narrow. The inter-symbol interference resulted in almost zero and the interchannel interference powers decreased. Thus, the signal to inter-channel interference ratio increased.
