Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It is widely known that crosstalk degrades system performances considerably in WDM-based optical networks and multi-core fiber transmissions. We have studied, in previous works, crosstalk-induced intensity fluctuations and bit-error rate degradations due to crosstalk for OOK systems. In this report, by expanding our theoretical analysis of OOK systems, we discuss crosstalk impacts on DPSK systems analytically for two cases of the single and the two crosstalk beams. It becomes clear that the DPSK performances depend strongly on the number of crosstalk beams. Experimental results agree well with our theoretical curves.
