Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In recent years, maritime broadband communication system is expected to use submarine resource survey using satellite systems. The performances of earth stations on ship and satellite stations must be improved on to achieve the services. However, there is a limit to increase the performance of ship earth station due to the restrictions on installation space and power consumption, for example, in fact. Therefore, increasing in high gain of the satellite antenna is required in order to realize high speed transmission. In this study, toward the realization of maritime broadband communication system, we examine the Ka-band digital beam forming antenna composed of 500-1000 elements. Specifically, about beam formation in consideration of the grating lobe, we examine from element placement of antenna.
