Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A conventional channel assignment method for SATCOM earth stations fixes bandwidth and power of a traffic channel during a communication period. Therefore, if the total assignment bandwidth and power reach the total satellite transponder bandwidth and the maximum satellite transmission power, it isn't possible to allocate any more channels to earth stations. In order to provide traffic channels to more earth stations with the limited bandwidth and power of a SATCOM system, this paper proposes a resource transfer channel assignment method that transfers a part of bandwidth and power of existing traffic channels to a new traffic channel. Simulation result shows that the proposed method increases a number of traffic channels in a SATCOM system by up to 2 times compared the conventional method.
