Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In the present study, we aimed the development of games for maintaining swallowing function which is readily understandable for very elderly people. For the purpose, we developed the game considering the mental model, and conducted experiments to examine the relationship between the mental model and the understandability of the game, and performance. Here, we controlled two factors 'appearance' and 'causality', and assumed that the participants could easily perform the game when each of them was accorded with the mental model of their own. Results of the experiments showed that the game, which was accorded with their own mental model, was more understandable and was performed well. The pleasure of the game was not concerned with the mental model.
