Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In order to examine swallowing function in clinical practice, a videofluoroscopic swallowing (VF) and a videoendoscopic evaluation swallowing (VE) are most commonly used. The examinations are painful for examinees because the examinations are invasive -medical procedures that enter into the body-. Only experts of medical staff are able to perform the examinations because their procedures are complicated. In order to measure muscle activities during swallowing in a non-invasive and easy method, we propose the sensor sheet that consist of multiple electromyography electrodes. The experimental results show that we can measure the muscle activities by using the proposed sensor sheet.
