Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) To maintain high quality communication services, it is important to minimize service interruptions when changing optical access line routes to repair or maintain optical access cable. We have attempted to minimize the impact of such operations on users. The basic approach to changing optical access line routes without service interruption is the temporary duplication of the current line by using a detour line while changing the route of the current line. In this paper, we propose operating procedures without interrupting service while changing optical access line routes, including the signal synchronization between detour line and new lines, the fiber identification testing and normality verification for the new line route. The proposed operating procedures are also experimentally verified by service for business and actual experts.
