Abstract(in English) | Tightly confined light enables a variety of applications ranging from nonlinear light management to atomic manipulation. Light confinement in normal fiber is usually ultimately limited by diffraction, which tends to spread light away from the wave-guiding core, despite its higher refractive index. Hence it cannot provide strong guidance for long interaction lengths. It was recently demonstrated that such spreading fields can be trapped by a nanometer-scale slot inside a subwavelength waveguide. However, for nanometer-structure hollow core optical fiber, it's characteristic have not been discussed and it might hold great promise in the near future. In this study, we propose and optimize first a photonic nanotube structure as the nano-structured hollow-core optical fiber, and numerically analyze the optical confinement characterization in a hollow-core of the photonic nanotube. |
