Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have studied on a contour detection system with the same accuracy as previous methods and the execution speed in which real-time operation is possible, in order to apply to localization of users in augmented reality systems. We aimed at the reduction of computational time by reducing the number of kinds of features based on previous method using Random Forest. Our proposed method keeps the detection accuracy by employing the scheme considering features of the contour detection in learning process and in voting. Furthermore, we aimed to maintain the detection accuracy by considering blur due to user's head swing in the augmented reality environment. Experimental results show that counter-detection time decreased and contour-detection accuracy is improved.
