Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A projector irradiates an image onto not only a screen but also other surfaces such as a wall of a building. A visibility of the projected image varies due to a photometric property and a geometric property of the target surface. This paper proposes a method for selecting a proper surface for the high visibility projection. Two photometric criteria: a brightness and a homogeneity, and two geometric criteria: a flatness of the target surface and a distance to the target scene are estimated to evaluate the visibility of the target surface. Experimental results have demonstrated that the criteria proposed in this paper estimates the visibility of the projected images from the surface property.
