Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We constructed a statistical computation model of word meaning acquisition process, ran simulations, showed that the shapes of word learning curves are not smooth but stepwise, and tried to compare the simulation results with word acquisition data of infants. However, while our simulation program was modeled after comprehension process, the data reported by Minami et al. (2012) were data on the production process. We thus could not compare these two directly. This study runs simulations not only on the comprehension process, but also on the production process, and compares the results with Minami et al.'s data. We further compare the results with Deb Roy (2009)'s observation data.
