Phase and luminescent properties of Mn^<4+> doped Mg_2(IV)O_4 deep red emitting phosphor

Abstract(in English) Synthesis and photoluminescent properties of deep red emitting Mg_2(IV)O_4:Mn phosphor as rare-metal and rare-earth free phosphor for application of white-LED and color changing materials was studied. The powders fired at 1200°C and 3 hours showed high luminance when Ti and Ge were used as IV atoms. The luminescecnt properties were drastically changed by Ge contents ratio into Mg_2(IV)O_4:Mn. The phase caused the deep red emission was not formed completely. It is expected that the property would be improved by the control of complete phase formation.
