Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Tamper-proofing technology for instruction sequences of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is required to protect trade secrets in them. Converting them to logic control circuits is an attractive solution. The circuits can be even more difficult to be analyzed with obfuscation techniques at the conversion. This study presents a method for employing an obfuscation technique, called opaque predicates, in the process of converting PLC instructions to logic circuits. According to the results of our preliminary evaluation, the logic scale and the total fan-outs were increased as a result of the addition of arithmetic cores and peripheral circuits.
